Intro of the Mascot: In April 2022, FIFA officially unveiled Qatar's World Cup mascot, La' eeb. Ra' ib originated from the traditional Arabic male headwear. The cute smiley face gives the mascot youthful energy, and the ability to fly freely makes it a fun animated image, like the flying carpet in an Arab fairy tale, bringing the joy of football to all.

A floating white keffiyeh with eyes wide open, brows, and lips. La'eeb, an Arabic term that means "super-skilled player," is the mascot's name.

A majority of Arab males wear a keffiyeh or shemagh. It is a traditional square cotton scarf, which they put on their heads and then hold in place with a strong cord known as an agal. However, a shemagh can be draped around the head in many different ways.
